With the LMD41PN and the LDM42PN Astech GmbH expands its Laser distance measurement product line by two new gauges with Profinet interface. With this the widely used sensor system can now easily be integrated in modern PLC systems. For that the sensors use the proven M12 connector format with protection grade IP67.
Additionally to the measured distance value the LDM41PN and LDM42PN provide a time stamp, life counter and diagnose data via the Profinet interface.
Due to the real-time capabilities of the Ethernet based Profinet protocol the measured distance values are transmitted to the network controller without any delay or data loss.By that the LDM42PN provides 50 measurements per second with millimetre accuracy.
In times of Industry 4.0 and an increasing distribution of Industrial Ethernet systems Astech starts the integration of the Profinet interface in all existing product lines besides the LDM41PN and the LDM42PN.
