Description:
In the finishing line of aluminium foil rolling mills there is a need for contact and slip-free as well as highly accurate length measurement without wear. The length of the coils to be measured is within a range of 10,000 m and 30,000 m. The foils are just 0.03 to 0.3 mm thick. The VLM is used for the control of winders, so that safety margins of 0.025% are sufficient.
