Description:
The finishing process of steel strips by means of slitting shears is supported by the use of the VLM measuring device. The rotation velocity of the shear blades depends on the velocity of the strip. Precise detection of the steel strip velocity helps to optimize the velocity of the blades and to minimize their attrition. Contact-free measurement eliminates damage to material. Measuring accuracy of less than 0.1% can be achieved.
