Description:
Round profiles of stainless steel are cut into lengths of between 3000 and 6000 mm and afterwards measured, whereby the demanded accuracy is 0.1%. The contact-free operation of the VLM devices considerably eases the measurement of individual objects compared with tactile measuring procedures (e.g. wheels). Measurement on shiny surfaces does not cause any problems. Each measured length value is sent digitally to a PLC.
