Description:
In order to control rolling mills according to the mass flow principle or to determine skin pass level or the degree of stretching, highly accurate measurements of differential velocity at the inlets and outlets of the stands are required. The VLM devices operate optically and contact-free, without slip and with measurement accuracy better than 0.05%. Due to the fact that several devices can be synchronized, they are well-suited to the measurement of differential velocity. Appropriate protective cases allow for their use in this environment.
